Child & Youth Resilience Measure
Resilience is the ability to deal with challenges and to get support in a way that the individual values and within the context of relationships and daily environments. The Child & Youth Resilience Measure helps youth, and those who know them, identify strengths and areas to be addressed. This tool is used in our Family Coaching & Mentorship and our Indigenous Family Support programs.
Keep Connected: Ages & Stages
Youth, as they prepare for adulthood and independence, still need parenting adults and other adults for guidance and support. Close adult connections help them discover who they are and their place in the world. Keep Connected offers info on intellectual, emotional, physical, social and spiritual milestones as well as tips on how to support and respond to changing needs or stages.
Developmental Assets
Search Institute has identified 40 positive supports and strengths that young people need to succeed. Half of the assets focus on the relationships and opportunities they need in their families, schools, and communities (external assets). The remaining assets focus on the social-emotional strengths, values, and commitments that are nurtured within young people (internal assets). For a list of the 40 developmental assets visit:
